Are we all just mere humans with some that have a bird’s heart?

By Alleia M.

A male Kauai bird–

sang for a hope to have a response from a female.

But never he knew

That would be the last time he calls for her.

For every Kauai bird,

has gone extinct except for him.

He was the last Kauai bird in this world.

Will he keep singing

even if he knew he was the last one?

As a bird, I think he would.

As a human, maybe he wouldn’t have done it.

In fact,

he may not have another will to live anymore.

Alone in this world

not because there are no more humans,

but because there are no more ‘species’ like him.

Thought he,

“I was the last eccentric person to ever live in this generation.”

The ‘abnormal’ is a term given by every so-called ‘normal’ human to him.

Did they manage to break his heart?

A lot of times.

Always.

Yet as mere, retarded, humans,

Never have we ever

intended to realize the strong impact of it.

By the end of the day,

he was just a lost memory

that is purposely to be forgotten.

One who decided to take his own life.

Thought he,

“I was the last eccentric person to ever live in this generation.”

Thought he was like the Kauai bird.
