New Found Love

By Alia Azwa

I once despised the rain,

Its splashes, its relentless wetness,

Ruining my cherished clothes and pristine shoes.

I loathed the way it disrupted my plans,

Leaving my attire damp, my schedule ruined,

Causing canceled arrangements and frustration.

But that was the past.

As I've aged and matured,

I've come to embrace the rain.

I now love the splashes of droplets on my screen, I

welcome the wind and rain's dance, drenching my attire, I

find solace in the spontaneity of canceled plans,

Realizing how much I've grown to love the rain.
