Your Laughter

by Zarifah Hossain

The beginning of summer,

reminded me of your laughter

The slow breeze slipping by

sounding along the Chimer.

The rustling sound of leaves,

that lies on the autumn floor.

As your laughter that deceives,

with the heart that you tore

The cold of the winter settles in,

as does the piercing in my heart.

The seasons of our rafter,

was the reason of your laughter.

The dancing petals of spring,

blooms in my heart which anticipates.

With the new life that it brings,

As your laughter slowly dissipates.
