GOMBAK, 27th November 2023: The Secretariat of English Language and Literature (ELITS) of International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) will soon be hosting FIESTALITS 2023. The event will take place at HS Square, starting from the 4th until the 7th of December.
ELITS IIUM is set to host FIESTALISTS 2023, aiming to create a harmonious blend of academics and entertainment for students, all while expanding their knowledge on language and literature. Students of all Kulliyyahs at IIUM are invited to attend and join the event.
The event will feature booths from societies under ELITS IIUM, such as The BENL Chronicles (TBC) and Clairvoyance IIUM, alongside outside vendors selling various items.
There will also be performances from the students of BENL (Bachelor of English Language and Literature) from the KIRKHS (Kulliyyah of Human Sciences and Islamic Revealed Knowledge) and members of TBC and Clairvoyance IIUM: Poetry Recitation, Storytelling, and also the Open Mic Session. These events will take place from 1 pm-2 pm daily, and the works featured will be centred around the theme “Solidarity with Palestine."
BENL students too are strongly encouraged to submit any of their creative works (examples of accepted forms include, but are not limited to, poems, short stories, and drawings) to ELITS IIUM in order for them to be displayed in HS Square for the special event “Unleash Your Voice: Solidarity with Palestine." ELITS IIUM is open to receiving creative works from BENL students until the 30th of November. ***
