KUALA LUMPUR, 28 September 2023- Harmoni IIUM, the student organisation at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), was extended an exclusive invitation to the prestigious GEMA Malaysia Youth Organisation Appreciation Ceremony. This invitation-only event, held at the Menara Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) on September 25, 2023, commemorated Harmoni IIUM's exceptional contributions through successfully implementing the My Save Food Ramadan programme in 2023.
The GEMA Malaysia Youth Organisation Appreciation Ceremony aims to laud organisations that have made a notable societal impact with their initiatives and programs. Harmoni IIUM received special recognition for its outstanding community service during the holy month of Ramadan in 2023.
The My Save Food programme The GEMA Malaysia Youth Organisation initiated was specifically designed to combat hunger and provide essential food supplies to underprivileged families during Ramadan. Esteemed guests, including YB Senator Hajah Puan Fuziah binti Salleh, Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living, and other high-ranking officials from the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, graced the event with their presence, highlighting its significance.
