So Close, Yet So Far: Korean Singer Park Boram Dies at 30

SOUTH KOREA, 18th April 2024: Park Boram, 30, a Korean singer who was renowned for the official soundtrack Hyehwadong (or Sangmundong) for the K-drama “Reply 1988” has passed away in the middle of preparing for a comeback in conjunction with her 10th anniversary in the industry.


Park was found unconscious by her friends in the bathroom after drinking alcohol on 11th April. Her agency, Xanadu Entertainment shortly confirmed her passing afterwards on 12th April, and reported that her cause of death was under investigation by the police.


Her autopsy was done on 15th April, in which Xanadu Entertainment stated:

“This is XANADU Entertainment. An autopsy was performed this morning (April 15) to confirm the cause of death of the late artist Park Bo Ram. The autopsy showed no signs of homicide or suicide, and the exact results will be delivered to the bereaved family at a later date.”


The funeral parlor for Park has been set up at Room 21, Asan Medical Center Funeral Home at 3 PM KST on April 15th. Park’s funeral procession is expected to take place at the Seoul Memorial Park on April 17th, at 6 AM KST.
