The First Responder has ended its second season with a more thrilling ending. Directed by Kyungsoo Shin, this Korean drama series is a combination of crime and mystery with a hint of romance, all while depicting the roles of Korea’s main front-liners’ whenever danger breaks in the country. The second season, which airs on the same streaming service, Disney+ Hotstar, is a continuation of the successful first season, which has the first season's fans ending their eager expectation of Season 1's hooked conclusion.

In season 2, the plot has become more interesting as new villains are introduced along with earnest crime cases—not to mention a table-turning outcome towards the main character that nobody would ever expect to happen in a typical Korean drama!

The First Responders Season 2 stars famous actors and actresses with amazing characters in solving violent crime cases as well as showing a perfect tie-up with Korea Crime Scene Investigation (KCSI), a fellow district’s firefighter department as well as the National Forensic Service (NFS).

The main cast includes Kim Rae-Won, who played the role of Jin Ho-Gae; Son Ho-Jun as Bong Do-Jin; and Gong Seung-Yeon who played the role of Song Seol. These three returning main casts represent different fields yet are interrelated to one another.

Jin Ho-Gae, the main lead, is a gifted and perceptive senior investigator working under a district police officer; Bong Do-Jin is known as a helpful firefighter from the neighbouring fire station; while Song Seol is a cautious paramedic—all of them are the key roles in the story. Due to fate and tragedy, the lives of these three people are intertwined, and they band together to help those in need, aligned with their vision to rescue and provide harmony in society. Thus, the drama focused on documenting the front workers' daily struggles and dedication in sustaining peace and safety nationwide.

While inviting viewers to get involved in the investigation and scrutinisation, Korean dramas have always left an impactful impression with their headway science and technologies to dig up even detailed evidence. So, I would say that this drama is a complete package and is worth investing in, especially if you are fond of the process of seeking justice.

As a consequence of its intriguing plots, this drama soared to its highest viewer rating when Season 2 was first broadcast last August until its finale broadcast in early September. According to Nielsen Korea, the drama's final episode scored an average nationwide rating of 9.3 percent, marking a new personal record for Season 2. Many viewers have left positive reviews by praising the well-coordinated ending and were subconsciously awed by the heartwarming ending.

Overall, this drama is worth investing in as it imparts a lot of beneficial life lessons and encourages viewers to appreciate and acknowledge every frontline competency in keeping the world in law and order.
