UNITED STATES, 1 August 2023: Two years later, fans were getting hyped again when Marvel Studios released the official poster for Loki season 2. The Juggernaut studio then uploaded the official trailer 24 hours later. The announcement arose three days after the conclusion of the current Marvel show, Secret Invasion.
Marvel veteran Tom Hiddleston will reprise his role as the titular character. Other returning actors to the show include Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and Jonathan Majors, who will return to their roles as Mobius M. Mobius, Sylvie, Ravonna Renslayer, and Victor Timely/Kang the Conqueror, respectively. Plus, the newcomers that will round up the cast are Rafael Casal, Kate Dickie, and recent Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan.
Despite season two being confirmed through a mid-credits sequence in the first season's finale in July 2021, the show endured delays several times until it finally got released in the autumn of 2023. Additionally, the ongoing WGA-SAG strike is still in effect. There is also controversy regarding actor Jonathan Majors' assault and harassment charges, with the trial extended to September 2023.
Regardless of the unforeseen circumstances, Marvel Studios intends to launch Loki season 2. Unfortunately, in light of the WGA-SAG strike, the actors who work on the production have been prohibited from promoting the forthcoming season as part of the SAG-AFTRA strike rules.
The series will be part of Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), which features a connection with the films in the franchise. It also made history as the first MCU show to garner a second season. The latest season will pick up from the finale of season one, which concluded with a catastrophic event that established multiverses.

Loki season 2 will premiere on the streaming platform Disney+ on October 6, 2023. As with the previous season, the show will have six episodes.***
