GOMBAK, 5 July 2023: The biggest Ultraman event occurring since June 10, 2023, just wrapped up on the 2nd of July 2023 in Lalaport, Bukit Bintang, after taking place for almost a month in Malaysia.
The event, “Ultraman Decker: Final Tour - Journey to Blazar,” conducted by Tsuburaya Production in collaboration with Astro and the management of Mitsui Shopping Park: Lalaport, was to promote the latest entry to the Ultraman franchise, which is Ultraman Blazar, after the latest one, Ultraman Decker, ended just recently on the local TV channel, Astro Ceria. There was a massive emergence of Ultra fans around Malaysia, who occupied the space of the event from the atrium of the mall to the fourth level of Lalaport itself.
During the event, there were numerous fun activities for fans to enjoy, as there were exhibitions, a film festival, a stage show, a press conference session with the actors, and meet-and-greet sessions that were conducted every weekend for hardcore fans to meet their Ultra heroes and take pictures with suit actors who wore authentic suits from the TV series.

Some of the heroes present were Ultraman Ribut, the legendary Malaysian Ultraman that was born through a collaboration between Les' Copaque and Tsuburaya Production, as well as Ultraman Decker, Ultraman Trigger, Ultraman Regulos, and the latest one, Ultraman Blazar.

The highlight of the event occurred on the 25th of June, when fans were graced with the arrival of three main actors from the series: Raiga Terasaka as Manaka Kengo, a.k.a. Ultraman Trigger; Hiroki Matsumoto as Asumi Kanata, a.k.a. Ultraman Decker; and Yuka Murayama as Ichika Kirino, the main heroine of the Ultraman Decker series. The fans rejoiced upon their arrival and greeted the actors with a warm and joyful welcome, as this was the first time for actors from Ultraman to come to Malaysia.

The arrival of these Japanese actors saw the start of the trend of the emergence of tokusatsu (special effects) actors in Malaysia. Early this year, we were graced with a visit from another Japanese actor, Masahiro Inoue, who is famously known as the main character from the Kamen Rider franchise, Kamen Rider Decade. Inoue came to Malaysia to promote his latest series, Sentika F8ABA6 Jisariz.
Ultraman Blazar will air simultaneously with the local TV station Astro Ceria and Japan’s TV station on July 8 at 8.30 PM Malaysia time. It can also be watched on Tsuburaya Production’s Official Ultraman YouTube channel, as there will be live streams of every episode every weekend.
