KUALA LUMPUR, 5 November 2023: A memorable event, namely the Kopi Geng Reunion, which focused on promoting and honoring coffee-based businesses, was held at Central Market from November 4th until November 6th, starting from 10 A.M. until 10 P.M.

This event featured a variety of coffee-based stalls and vendors, including Niki & Haru, Kupikiter, Kopi Racun, Kopi Gantung, Kopi Saigon Cyberjaya, Spring Coffee, Sangkopee, and many more. Worry not, non-coffee lovers were also enjoying the event, as there were decafs, non-coffee, and sparkling drinks specially made for them.

Not only did drink businesses participate in this event, but food-based vendors such as Shiok Bitez, Mariposa Bakery, Fabulous Baker, and Baked By Meow, art-based vendors such as Crochet is My Hobby, Laser Art, and Siaoyu Art Studio, and fashion-based vendors like Rosae Fashion and Ozie Thrift Shop. It was a great opportunity for the vendors to promote their businesses to the locals.

To further enlighten the event, groups of musicians performed at Artlane and Jalan Benteng, Central Market. The performing groups included Syed Saxophonist, Lasso, and Ritma Sore, whose talents made the event more lively.

As one of the key attractions for tourists and even local visitors, Central Market has long been a popular location for events and gatherings. Therefore, holding this Kopi Geng Reunion event is such a great draw, especially for coffee enthusiasts.

“I adore events like this one because I'm a coffee lover. I think this kind of event is good because, as Malaysians, we know that we cannot support some of the world's leading coffee brands. Instead, these local coffee brands will help us break free from our global coffee addiction,” said one of the regular visitors to Central Market, Muhammad Zamry.

Another visitor, Amin Nur Nafee, also added his opinion on the event, “There were a variety of coffees and desserts sold [which] had their own uniqueness. Overall, the event was fascinating, and I am waiting for more events like this,” and his friend, Adam Hafizuddin, continued, “Yes, me and my friend would love to join more events like this!”

All in all, it was a very pleasant and fantastic experience to be a part of this beautiful event, which was one of the largest events conducted at the Central Market. There are many more upcoming events that will be held at the Central Market; be sure to join and enjoy them!***
