GOMBAK, 1 June 2024: Clairvoyance, a student-run publishing club under the Secretariat of English Language and Literature (ELITS) celebrated its 10th anniversary by hosting their Annual Grand Dinner inside Seminar Room 2 located at IIUM Gombak Cultural Centre (ICC).

The grand dinner event began with opening remarks from the advisor of ELITS, Dr Homam Altabaa in which he accolades the efforts made by the past and current members for keeping the club alive and making it more participative and interesting.
In a short presentation given by the secretaries of the club, Siti Nor Izah and Muhamad Shaireza, they explained how Clairvoyance was born in 2014 and how it has bloomed ever since then with the publication of students’ works in a book called a Zine,the Zine has become a symbol of the club's creative minds.

The secretaries highlighted various achievements of the current tenure such as record-breaking submissions of works from students, the incorporation of illustrations into the Zine, and many sold items made by Clairvoyance’s graphic designers and illustrators team which included t-shirts, enamel pins, bookmarks, and stickers.
The event not only unfolds Clairvoyance’s historical background and achievements but also commemorates the members of the new tenure in a certificate-giving ceremony to appreciate their benefiting hard work towards the club.
Speech by Nur Syafiqah, the current editor-in-chief of Clairvoyance
In a presidential address, the editor-in-chief of Clairvoyance, Nur Syafiqah binti Suhaimi underlined the success of her tenure in many programmes conducted like Induction Day, Picture Day, and booth display, unlike previous tenures which were more passive.
“It is the energy that they bring along that makes it special and worthwhile, and none of these would have been made possible without them,” expressed Syafiqah as she attributed it all to the active participation of the members.

The event then proceeds with dinner and a game session which involves all the participants and followed by the best-dressed awards.
The event concludes with the closing remarks from the emcee, Amzar Hakimi and a photography session with all the attending participants of Clairvoyance Annual Grand Dinner.***
