GOMBAK, 1 June 2024: The Secretariat of English Language and Literature (ELITS) conducted a session of the seminar-alike program, which is an Internship Briefing session which was led by the honourable speaker, Dr. Zurahani binti Abdul Rahim, a lecturer at International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). The Internship Briefing program was conducted through an online platform, Zoom Call meeting workplace, in order to fulfill the high request of participants.
The briefing session began with an opening remark from the program manager, Sr. Hanan Insyirah, then proceeded with another opening remark by the speaker, Dr. Zurahani herself. The participation ranged between 3rd and 4th-year BENL Students, which was also the focus of the program in assisting these students in preparing them for the internship year.
During the briefing session, Dr. Zurahani had well explained the process and instructions of how to step into the working life of being an intern, from her teaching and advice of etiquette, until every detail of paper works and report for both university and workplace rights, all of which were covered perfectly by Dr. Zurahani.
At the same time during the briefing session, one of the lecturers who joined this briefing session, Dr. Elena, had also made her speech and some advises regarding this topic of internship, which also helped in clarifying students and concerns about internship.
The briefing session went very well, especially in Q&A sessions, in which most questions by students regarding internship has been answered by speaker clearly.
The briefing session concludes with the closing remarks by the program moderator, Br. Aiman Zhafran, and a photography session with all the attending participants of this internship briefing session. ***
