The New Lineup of Kulliyyah Student Leaders
GOMBAK, 11th January 2023: A ceremony was held at the Al-Tabari Conference Room on 5th January 2023 for the Mainboard of IRKHSSS and Chairpersons of Secretariats to take the oath with the presence of AHAS KIRKHS Dean, Prof. Dr. Shukran Abd. Rahman, Deputy Dean of Student Development and Community Engagement, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Noh Abdul Jalil, student activity advisors and some lecturers.

The purpose of this ceremony is to acknowledge the new council that has already started the 2023/2024 tenure and this applied to the new IRKHSSS leader as well as the older tenure already stepped down during the annual grand meeting that was held on 5th December 2023.
ELITS's new chairperson, Nor Shahira binti Khaidir, was also one of the participants in the oath-taking ceremony. She mentioned that the ceremony was formal and private, and it was not announced to the students. The ceremony was only attended by a few lecturers who were related to the student society.

Shahira also mentioned that she has embraced challenges and comfort when working with ELITS for one tenure, and that motivates her to nominate herself as the chairperson of ELITS for greater challenges for personal growth.
“I aimed for the presidency to uphold previous successful secretariat initiatives while seeking improvements for BENL students' benefits,” said Shahira when asked why she wanted to be the chairperson of ELITS.
Shahira also added that her goals and vision for future ELITS would go back to her three manifestos and one of them is to help students develop themselves in linguistics and literature courses.
“I aim to equip BENL students with skills and knowledge early on, enabling them to choose between linguistics or literature for their major by their second or third year,” she added.

Shahira's goals and visions for ELITS truly reflect her passion for enhancing the well-being of BENL students and paving the way for a brighter future during her tenure at ELITS.
