KUALA LUMPUR, 25th September 2024: The harrowing truth about the Global Ikhwan Service and Business Holdings’ (GISBH) sacrilege has been brought to light.
After a report of child neglect, sexual abuse, and molestation at a Port Dickson charity home, initial findings of police investigations and raids in GISBH orphanages and religious schools on 11th September through Ops Global suggested the prevalence of grooming, abuse — especially sexual, and deviant teachings of Al-Arqam, a banned Islamic sect founded by Ashaari Mohammad.
402 minors, all believed to be children of GISBH members aged between one and 17, according to Inspector-General Tan Sri Razarudin Husain, were rescued. They were found in a state of severe neglect and abuse, wherein medical screenings proved that at least 13 children suffered sexual abuse. Young children were injured with hot objects for mistakes made, and the victims were deprived of proper medical attention, which led to their declining health over time. The victims were also allegedly sodomised by their caretakers and were forced to sodomise each other.
Following the raids done on 11th September 2024, 355 suspects have been arrested to date, of whom 31 are significant members of the GISBH organisation. The CEO of GISBH, Nasiruddin Mohd Ali, denied the allegations of abuse in the charity homes and orphanages, downplaying the prevalence of sodomy to only “one or two” cases.
As of now, Perlis has become the first state in Malaysia to issue a fatwa declaring GISBH as a deviant sect, claiming that the belief of GISBH is “a continuation of the Al-Arqam teachings” that have “crossed the limits to equalising their leaders to the level of prophethood,” which “grooms loyalty to these leaders.”
May justice and truth prevail in this distressing case of deviant teachings and abuse. — TBC
