GOMBAK, 25th March 2024: Jam'iyyyatu Khadamatil Quran (JKQ) IIUM Club has organised a programme called Ihya Ramadhan Raudhatul Quran on 21st March 2024, which was held in Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah (SHAS) Mosque IIUM.

As the holy month of Ramadhan is nearing its two weeks, the JKQ IIUM Club took the opportunity to gather students from different kulliyyah under the programme that aimed at completing 30 juz of al-Quran all in one place. Students were gathered inside the mosque, where they took turns reciting one page after another in small sub-groups.

The programme was attended by approximately 300 participants who had registered their names a few days prior to the day the programme was held. At 4 pm, the registration counters were opened for the participants to check their names along with their designated groups. The turn-up was huge, and the SHAS Mosque was filled with students sitting in groups where each had a leader who directed them to recite and complete one juz of al-Quran.

One of the participants, Sr. Nurul Aufa from the Department of Fiqh and Usul al-Fiqh, expressed her wish for such a programme to be organised more in the future. She commented that it is not often for it to be conducted on a large scale, and she also encouraged students to grab the chance to participate in the Tadarus Quran programme, especially in the month of Ramadhan.

The programme ended at 7 pm with the distribution of free iftar meals for all participants.
