GOMBAK, 18th November 2023: In a concerted effort to engage and inform, the IIUM Student Parliament Commission marked a significant presence at the IIUM Student Union Open Day on 18th November. The booth, designed to demystify the student parliament's function and offer details on upcoming tenures, became a focal point for student interaction.

Visitors to the booth were greeted by commission members who were eager to share insights into the nuances of the student parliament. Conversations extended beyond procedural details to encompass broader aspects of campus life, including the diverse roles played by various clubs within the Student Union.

Notably, the commission actively sought connections with the election commission and campus political groups, facilitating discussions that shed light on the democratic processes within the student body. Surprisingly, the networking scope expanded to include interactions with fellow podcasters, revealing shared interests in the exchange of ideas and information.

Despite a tinge of regret for not capturing more moments through pictures, the day left an indelible mark as a platform for forging connections and acquiring knowledge. The commitment of the IIUM Student Parliament Commission to transparency and engagement was evident, contributing to a more interconnected and informed student community.

As the IIUM Student Union Open Day drew to a close, the commission departed with a sense of accomplishment, having ignited interest in the student parliament among attendees. The positive momentum gained during the event is expected to propel the commission forward in its ongoing mission to represent and advocate for the student body at the International Islamic University Malaysia.
