As evident in the exposed dashcam footage, a man knocked on Ong’s car window and punched his face, causing a minor soft tissue injury.

"I really hope the suspect will be brought to justice. I have shown my face to the media. Why has the suspect not been revealed?” expressed Ong, as translated by the sign-language interpreter.

Ong’s lawyer, N. Surendran, shared that the unsolved incident has also caused significant emotional trauma. He also commented that disciplinary action alone is not sufficient to the offender; he must be punished according to the legal procedure.

"I’m not sure why it is taking so long for the police to finish the investigation, considering the evidence is clear. No one has been held accountable," said Surendran. "He works six days a week from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and is extremely diligent. He didn’t deserve this."

Upon the sharing of the dashcam footage online, many netizens on the X platform have shared their anger and disappointment regarding the prolonged silence from relevant authorities and hoped for justice to prevail. No individuals should ever face assault and oppression by the system, especially the voiceless —TBC.
