GOMBAK, 10th December 2024: The Mahallah Representative Committees (MRC) 24/25 of Mahallah Maryam, in collaboration with MyFundAction, held a Sirah-themed talk, namely, Sirah Digest 1.0: The History of Palestine & the Role of Muslims, on Monday, 9th December 2024, from 6:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. at Musolla Ummul Banat.

Successfully ended with almost 60 locals and 10 international students, Sirah Digest 1.0 is organised to spread awareness of the history of Palestine and share bits of knowledge on how Muslims can unite to help free Palestine from the shackles of their enemy.

The programme started with an Iftar for those who perform Monday sunnah fasting, along with the congregational Maghrib prayer and the recitation of al-Ma’thurat. Then, the emcee, Sr. Aisyah Karina, who is one of the MyFundAction team and was a student in IIUM majoring in English Language and Literature, continued with welcoming remarks and invited the dua reciter to recite the doa to bless the programme even more.

The programme was carried on with an amazing and informative talk by the well-experienced speaker, Miss Siti Nabihah Binti Zakaria. She explained the history of the attack on Palestine very well; she even explained the causes and ways to overcome this genocide issue. All participants actively engaged in the talk session and showed high interest in the topic discussed. Following the talk session, the MyFundAction team asked participants to form five groups for more in-depth discussions.

After the group session, a token of appreciation-giving ceremony was held to appreciate Miss Siti Nabihah as the speaker, and a photography session was held to keep the program and collaboration as unforgettable memories. Then, participants can either disperse or stay at the Musolla to perform congregational Isya' prayer.

This collaboration between MRC Mahallah Maryam and MyFundAction can be a door-opener for both of them to achieve more success and hold more high-impact programmes like Sirah Digest 1.0. All the best, both MRC Mahallah Maryam and MyFundAction. — TBC
