TOKYO, 18th March 2024: The car company Toyota, in collaboration with the Pokémon Company, unveiled a bike that captures the ultimate essence of one of the legendary Pokémon from the latest Nintendo Switch video game titled Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet.

The bike was brought into existence as an answer to a survey that was conducted by the Toyota Engineering Society with elementary school students in Japan about what they wanted to see as the future of mobility. The result shows that most kids wanted to see Miraidon being turned into a motorcycle and align with his name, which also means ‘future’ in Japanese. The invention has garnered a huge amount of positive reception from not just the children but the people of Japan as well.

Not only does the bike look exactly like how the Pokémon looks in the videogame, but it can also transform into its idle mode as well, making it friendly to children. Though it is not fully rideable and navigates like a real motorcycle, it gives off an essence of what the Pokémon may look like when it comes to reality.

The public can have a ride with Miraidon at the Tokyo Midtown Hibiya Atrium, where the Toyota Engineering Society and the Pokémon Company will be doing the test drives from 15th to 17th March 2024. Be sure to check out more about Miraidon in the latest Pokémon game, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.***
